Jenna Coleman and Aidan Turner play Articulate

Have you ever wondered how a game of Articulate between former Doctor Who star Jenna Coleman and Poldark’s Aidan Turner might turn out? Let’s be honest, the answer is probably ‘no’, but you’re going to find out now anyway!

Yes, it’s the season for fun and games and so we thought we’d cheer you up with this charming clip of the two popular actors playing articulate with a very citrus-like theme…

The pair have made the video for WhatsOnStage to help promote their theatre production of Sam Steiner’s play Lemons Lemons Lemons Lemons Lemons in which Coleman and Turner star.

The two-hander romantic comedy theatre production which has a very long name tells the story of a couple who exist in a world where people can only say 140 words a day.

The show will be playing in three different locations in 2023, initially in London’s West End at the Harold Pinter Theatre from the 18th of January to the 18th of March 2023.

The production will then move north to the Manchester Opera House from the 21st of March to the 25th March 2023 before ending its run beside the seaside on the south coast of England at the Theatre Royal Brighton from the 28th of March to the 1st April 2023.

Jenna Coleman, who plays Bernadette in the production was last seen on our screens in the Neil Gaiman’s Netflix show The Sandman in which she played Johanna Constantine. Coleman is perhaps best known to science fiction fans for her role as Clara Oswald in Doctor Who, a part she played opposite the Eleventh Doctor Matt Smith and the Twelfth Doctor Peter Capaldi. In recent years she has starred in dramas including Victoria, The Serpent and The Cry.

Aidan Turner, who plays Oliver in the show, was last seen on TV in the UK this summer as Joe O’Loughlin in the ITV police drama The Suspect. Turner shot to fame as the star of the BBC Three supernatural show Being Human as well as appearing in The Hobbit movie series and playing the lead role in the BBC’s adaptation of Winston Graham’s Poldark book series.
