When it comes to iconic sitcoms, they don’t come much more iconic as Friends, a show that transcended mere television and became a part of popular culture in the 90s and is still hugely popular today. From 1994 to 2004, viewers followed the comedic and romantic adventures of six pals – Jennifer Aniston as Rachel Green, Courteney Cox as Monica Geller, Lisa Kudrow as Phoebe Buffay, Matt LeBlanc as Joey Tribbiani, Matthew Perry as Chandler Bing, and David Schwimmer as Ross Geller. Their exploits in New York City, full of humour, heart, and plenty of coffee at Central Perk, became the stuff of TV legend and with the show on streaming services like Netflix these days it’s always being discovered by new audiences.

One unique trademark of Friends was its playful episode titles, all of which started with “The One…,” creating an informal, familiar tone that was instantly recognisable to viewers and gave a hint as to what might be about to happen. With a whopping total of 236 episodes, it’s a challenge to remember them all. Are you up to the task?
