Georgia Tennant to return as Jenny for Doctor Who 60th Once and Future adventure
Georgia Tennant is among a host of returning stars that fans can look forward to hearing from in 2023 as part of the exciting Once and Future eight-part audio event from Big Finish Productions that will celebrate 60 years of Doctor Who.
Tennant, who played Jenny, the Doctor’s daughter (pictured above in Staged with David Tennant), is a fan favourite and will be welcomed with open arms by fans back to Doctor Who. Georgia Tennant is part of a Whovian dynasty as she’s the daughter of Peter Davison, who of course played the Fifth Doctor on the TV show, and is married to David Tennant who played both he Tenth and the Fourteenth incarnations of the Time Lord.
Tennant is just one of a number of exciting guests to be appearing in the audio series which is to be released across 2023.
As well as Tom Baker, Peter Davison, Colin Baker, Sylvester McCoy, Paul McGann, Christopher Eccleston and David Tennant reprising their roles as the Doctor in the adventure, there will be appearances from Michelle Gomez as Missy, Nicola Walker as Liv Chenka, Camille Coduri as Jackie Tyler and Sadie Miller as the voice of Sarah Jane Smith, who was originally played by the late Elisabeth Sladen.
Other members of the Once and Future cast include Neve McIntosh as Madame Vastra, Catrin Stewart as Jenny Flint, Michelle Ryan as Lady Christina, Dan Starkey as Strax, Christopher Naylor as Harry Sullivan and Ken Bones as the General.
Stephen Noonan, Michael Troughton and Tim Treloar will play the voices of the first three Doctors from the series in the absence of the original actors.
Big Finish has said that there are even more names to be announced, so this will certainly be an epic adventure in space and time, worthy of the big birthday of the science fiction show.
Doctor Who Once and Future will be released monthly between May and October 2023, with a final episode in November 2024.
Meanwhile, the TV show will be celebrating in 2023 with three special episodes of the show in November starring David Tennant as the Fourteenth Doctor.
These episodes, which look set to include a number of guest stars, will be followed by the first episode starring Ncuti Gatwa as the Fifteenth Doctor around the festive season of 2023. The rest of season 14 of Doctor Who, which will co-star Millie Gibson as companion Ruby Sunday will play out across 2024.
