Karen Gillan jokes about her Guardians of the Galaxy 3 poster pose
Karen Gillan will be reprising her role of Nebula in Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 3 this year and fans of the MCU are super excited to see how the story comes to an exciting head.
However, Gillan, who is also well-known to science fiction fans for portraying Amy Pond in Doctor Who opposite Matt Smith’s Eleventh Doctor, has some questions to ask herself ahead of the movies release.

Gillan has taken to TikTok to address her pose on the new poster that’s been released to promote the upcoming Marvel movie, which is out in cinemas in the UK on May 5th 2023.
“OK, can anyone tell me what I was thinking when I decided to pose like this… on an international, worldwide poster that will remain forevermore.”
Gillan explains that when she did the pose for the photoshoot, it seemed like a good idea – but in hindsight, she’s not so sure!
“I remember doing this pose and thinking ‘I think I look pretty cool here’ – so I take full responsibility for this choice.”
Gillan has a series of questions for herself about the poster, which she is clearly enjoying discussing in the video.
“What am I leaning against – what is my elbow doing?”
She goes on to recreate the pose in her TikTok video and says “No, it doesn’t look good now, does it!”
Gillan concludes that she might double down on the new look and try to make it a thing – and promises that she’ll be bringing back that elbow in the air look when you least expect it.
We certainly can’t wait to see it pulled out for the Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 3 premiere on the red carpet!
