Star Wars’ John Boyega ‘collaborating heavily’ on Attack the Block 2
It’s been more than a decade since John Boyega played Moses in Joe Cornish’s Attack the Block movie, and with a sequel on the way, the actor, producer and writer has revealed he is getting closer than ever to the story on the new film.
The Star Wars star has explained that he’s been working closely with writer and director Cornish on the project “making a story that makes sense for Moses and the other characters”
Speaking to Collider, Boyega said: “This process has been fantastic. The story has actually been presented by myself and Joe Cornish. We’ve collaborated heavily on making a story that makes sense for Moses and the other characters, and the new characters that will be coming up in the sequel too.
And then, also, there’s different perspectives in writing it, with Joe having his perspective and me having mine. London has changed so much, in so many different ways, over the years since the first movie. We’re just tryin’ to make sure we explore all of that, while bringing in a whole different vibe to that crazy ass first movie that we made.”

Boyega made one of his first movie appearances in the 2011 movie Attack the Block, playing gang leader Moses in the indie horror science fiction. Moses uses his skills and smarts as a leader on the streets to help fight against an alien invasion. He later came to worldwide mainstream attention as Finn in Star Wars.
With Moses such an integral character in the movie, it’s great news for film fans that Boyega will be contributing even more to an already fascinating character.
But when will this highly anticipated film be coming out?
“Hopefully soon,” teased Boyega.
“we’ll have an announcement for when we’ll be around London, messin’ stuff up.”
