Slow Horses and The Mosquito Coast Apple TV+ season 2 premiere dates revealed
The Mosquito Coast and Slow Horses are among a number of hit original shows for which Apple TV+ has today revealed second season release dates.
The Mosquito Coast starring Justin Theroux, Melissa George, Logan Polish, and Gabriel Bateman will begin streaming season two on Friday, November 4th 2022, with Slow Horses, a British spy drama starring Gary Oldman will premiere on Apple’s streaming service on Friday, December 2nd.
Based on the best selling novel by Paul Theroux, The Mosquito Coast “follows the dangerous journey of Allie Fox, a brilliant inventor and stubborn idealist, who uproots his family on a dangerous quest to find refuge from the U.S. government, cartels, and hitmen.”
In the second season of the show, Apple tells us: “after barely escaping Mexico with their lives, the Foxes venture deep into the Guatemalan jungle to meet up with an old friend and her community of refugees. This new refuge creates trouble for the Foxes though when they become entangled in a conflict between the scions of a local drug lord. At odds about whether to settle down or keep moving, Allie and Margot pursue different paths to secure their family’s future. The outcome of which will either unite the family or tear it apart forever.”
Episodes of The Mosquito Coast will run weekly all the way through until January 2023.

Slow Horses, which is based on the book series of the same name by Mick Heron “finds long-buried Cold War secrets emerge which threaten to bring carnage to the streets of London. When a liaison with Russian villains takes a fatal turn, our hapless heroes must overcome their individual failings and raise their spy game in a race to prevent a catastrophic incident.”
The show about a dysfunctional group of secret service agents in the UK who have been cast aside from the mainstream of Mi5 is incredibly dark and funny and rightfully won many fans when it was released earlier this year.
The new season will see cast including Academy Award nominee Kristin Scott Thomas, BAFTA Scotland Award winner Jack Lowden, Saskia Reeves, Rosalind Eleazar, Christopher Chung, Freddie Fox, Chris Reilly, Samuel West, Sophie Okonedo, Aimee-Ffion Edwards, Kadiff Kirwan and Academy Award nominee Jonathan Pryce.
And there’s more. Apple TV+ has also announced that the second season of workplace comedy Mythic Quest will begin streaming on Friday, November 11th and a second instalment of the heartfelt anthology series Little America will begin from December 9th 2022.
That’s a pretty impressive line-up as Apple continues to double down on quality original comedy and drama – something that has been reinforced by the recent news that they have won a bidding war to sign Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul creator Vince Gilligan for a two-series deal for his new drama starring Rhea Seehorn.
