Stranger Things star Sadie Sink to star in thriller opposite Eric Bana
Netflix science fiction super-hit Stranger Things has made massive stars of many of its young co-stars over the last few years – but none more than Sadie Sink, who played the central role of Max in the face-off with Vecna in season four part one and season four part two of the show this summer. Indeed, if it wasn’t for her, we wouldn’t all still be humming Running Up That Hill by Kate Bush almost all day everyday still!
Well, fans of the actor’s work will be pleased to know that Sink has a lot of exciting projects coming up before we see how Stranger Things pans out in its final season (whenever that happens! The best guess we have is probably early 2024 at this rate).
Not only is Sink in Brendan Gleeson’s Whale, which has received a hugely positive response at Venice Film Festival this week (apparently it had a thirteen-minute standing ovation – that might be a record), she has according to Variety been cast in another big screen project, this time a thriller opposite Eric Bana.
Berlin Nobody also stars Blade Runner 2049’s Sylvia Hoeks, rising star German actor Jonas Dassler, Austrian actor Sophie Rois and is the story of an expat psychologist who relocates to Berlin to study dangerous cults. Sink will apparently be playing the daughter of the psychologist, who gets caught up with a mysterious young local man. It sounds like there is more Stranger Things style darkness to come then!
The movie is inspired by a 2015 novel called Tokyo written by Nicholas Hogg – and if all that wasn’t exciting enough, it has Ridley Scott as a producer. Yep, that’s a pretty big name to give the project a boost. Certainly, one to be looking out for.
As well as Stranger Things, Sink has recently worked on The Glass Castle, Fear Street 2, and series American Odyssey.
