You will love this TARDIS full of books spotted on a London Street
“You want weapons? We’re in a library. Books are the best weapon in the world. This room’s the greatest arsenal we could have. Arm yourself!”
That’s what the Tenth Doctor told us in Tooth and Claw, and it seems to have come true on the streets of Harrow in London where a TARDIS has materialised filled with books as part of a community book share scheme.
The blue police box which will be familiar to all science fiction fans as sharing more than a passing resemblance to the TARDIS in which the Doctor has travelled through adventures in space and time since 1963 was pointed out on Twitter by Rich Tipple.
Tipple wrote: “My brother-in-law spotted a wild TARDIS in Harrow yesterday! It’s a community book share
The Doctor would approve! #DoctorWho“
His tweet contains a photo of the exterior of the police box and a short video which give a glimpse of the books inside.
In an additional tweet, Tipple also points out that the police box can be seen on Google maps street view.
So, if you happen to be in the Harrow area and you’re looking to combine a love of books and Doctor Who, perhaps you should stop by and see if this particular police box is bigger on the inside!?
