David Tennant plays prank on Ty with new Comic Con sign

The Tennant family appear to have started a new family tradition… trolling one another at Comic Con events, and fans love it!

Ty Tennant, who has recently been seen starring as Aegon Targaryen in HBO’s Game of Thrones fantasy prequel House of the Dragon, was happily signing autographs for fans at London Comic Con when his Dad David, who some of you may recognise as the Tenth / Fourteenth Doctor in Doctor Who was pictured by his Mum Georgia holding up a sign. The sign said, “He’s not that special.” A bit harsh you may think!

But wait, there’s a burgeoning family tradition in the Tennant family developing at Comic Con events, and this is a callback to a photograph also taken by Georgia Tennant in April at Comic Con in Wales.

In the April instalment of the saga, Peter Davison, who happens to be Georgia Tennant’s Dad, David Tennant’s father in law and the Fifth Doctor in Doctor Who (yes, I know that’s a lot of Doctor Who connections) is seen holding a sign with the very same message.

On this occasion, he is apparently jokingly protesting against the long queue to see David Tennant who is appearing at the event.

“Here I protest in front of the half mile queue for your husband” reads the caption of the tweet.

And so what might be the next step in this family tradition of trolling one another? We don’t know! But one thing is for sure, the entertaining series of photos has been a hit with fans of Doctor Who across the internet.

Perhaps David should be on the lookout for Ty with a sign and a marker pen next time he appears at an event, especially if Georgia is close by with her camera!
